バングラデシュでは今年1月に総選挙が行われ、昨年の暮れから情勢が不安定。しかし、日本人や現地の人たちがイベントに参加したいという声が集まってきたのだ。それもユニークな形で。リキシャアート展示会と日本の一村一品の考えから「One District One Product」の物産展の併設イベントも開催。そして、レースで生まれた数々の可能性に再び次回に向かって走り出そうと輪が広がっていくのだった…。
The situation in Bangladesh became unstable in January during the election. However, some Japanese and Bangladeshi people willingly parcticipated in the event in a unique way! We also organized not only the Rickshaw Art Exhibition but "One District One Product" from an idea of Japan. A wider circle of friends was born created by the Rickshaw Race.

バングラデシュから100人以上のものづくり職人やパフォーマー、そして瀬戸内国際芸術祭のアーティストたちが高松港に集結し、まるでダッカの市場のような活気あふれるアート工房が生まれた（バングラデシュ・ファクトリー）。また高松市美術館ではバングラデシュを代表する現代アートの画家たちによる33作品の絵画展覧会も開催された。このドキュメンタリー映画はバングラデシュの活気あふれる文化を紹介するだけでなく、アーティストたちがベンガル島で費やした40日間の取り組みやベンガル島ができあがった背景が綴られている。
Over 100 Bangladeshi artisans and performers and Triennale artists gathered in Takamatsu Port in Japan to ply their trades in art factories recreating the energy of a Dhaka marketplace (Bangladesh Factory). And Bangladeshi famous contemporary artists presented their 33 recent works in Takamatsu Museum. This documentary film shows not only the exciting culture of Bangladesh, but also the efforts of the artists spending 40 days in the Bengal Island and the very first story behind the project.
